Ms. Straub’s recent experience
includes

Serving as a key member of the
defense team for the manufacturer of a “less than lethal” weapon
used by the Boston Police Department during public disturbances
following the Boston Red Sox defeat of the New York Yankees in
2004, which resulted in various claims and cross claims before
independent investigating bodies and the judicial system, at
both the federal and state levels

Representing defendants of
numerous silicosis claims alleging product manufacturer
liability and toxic tort liability in class action suits

Serving as Counsel to auditors
of client healthcare entities, including the status of pending
or threatened litigation, unasserted claims and assessments
against said entities, providing auditors the information
necessary for properly accounting for loss contingencies
required by the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002.
During law school, Ms. Straub served as the President
of the Family Law Society at the University of Pittsburgh School of
Law.
She was also employed as a law clerk at the Beroes
Law Center, a Pittsburgh-based general practice law firm with a
specialty in family law, where she prepared pleadings and assisted
in case preparation for divorce and custody litigation.
During her first year of law school,
Ms. Straub gained experience as a law clerk at Weiss & Associates, a
personal injury law firm located in the suburbs of Pittsburgh.
